The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $155,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level, but not location (within the US). The salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful Executive Assistant to support the Head of Engineering at Mysten Labs. This role blends operational execution with contextual understanding — helping coordinate offsites, manage vendors, monitor budgets, and handle high-leverage administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Offsite Logistics: Plan and execute 3+ engineering offsites per year (Engineering, Product, Research, Partnering). Coordinate venue selection, travel logistics, catering, conference rooms, and social events.

• Vendor Management: Act as point of contact for vendors — from onboarding and billing to price negotiation and coordination with Finance Ops. Maintain clarity and accuracy across dozens of vendor relationships.

• Budget Support: Track infrastructure and tooling expenses, prepare simple reports on spend trends, and collaborate with Finance Ops and engineering leads on forecasting and budgeting.

• Executive Support: Handle a variety of smaller, high-value tasks — scheduling candidate calls, coordinating with partner teams, or gathering context for product or vendor discussions.

• Process Maturity: Over time, learn the structure of teams, projects, and priorities to help organize the time of eng leads more effectively.

About You

• Highly organized and calm under pressure.

• Capable of driving several threads to completion independently.

• Comfortable navigating technical environments and picking up new terminology quickly.

• Communicates clearly and transparently.

• Curious, pragmatic, and confident negotiating with vendors or following up across teams.

• Prior experience supporting executives or operations within a fast-moving tech company is a plus.
