The Role

We're looking for a strategic content leader who can amplify our portfolio and strengthen our firm's market voice—someone who:

  • Transforms complex investment theses into compelling narratives for founders, LPs, and ecosystem partners
  • Builds authentic relationships to surface and share meaningful stories
  • Thrives at the intersection of storytelling, events, and community building
  • Seamlessly shifts between long-form writing and preparing partners for media appearances

We need someone who views content as a strategic lever—great content attracts the best founders, strengthens portfolio companies, and positions our firm as a trusted industry voice.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

Thought Leadership & Content Production

  • Build our content engine: Transform investment insights into compelling narratives across blog, newsletter, and external publications while managing editorial calendar and production workflows
  • Amplify partner voices: Ghost-write thought leadership, prepare keynote narratives, and work with internal teams to turn data and analysis into accessible stories
  • Secure strategic speaking opportunities: Identify high-impact conferences and media opportunities for partners; prepare them with talking points, research, and key narratives that reinforce our investment thesis
  • Own digital presence: Curate and publish content across newsletter and website to engage our community with firm insights and portfolio updates

Portfolio Amplification & Storytelling

  • Showcase portfolio success: Create case studies, founder stories, and milestone announcements that demonstrate innovation and our value as investors
  • Build portfolio visibility: Work directly with founders to shape narratives and coordinate coverage across channels to help companies attract talent and capital
  • Document the journey: Capture portfolio evolution through consistent storytelling from initial investment through major achievements
  • Engage with ecosystem foundations: Manage relationships and content sharing with developer foundations and platform partners, including distributing firm analyses and public goods research through strategic channels

Event Content & Programming

  • Design event experiences: Develop content strategy and programming for demo days, founder summits, and annual meetings
  • Execute compelling sessions: Curate topics, prepare moderator guides, coordinate speakers, and develop presentation materials that reinforce our thesis
  • Develop event content assets: Create pre-event materials, pitch decks, and follow-up resources that reinforce key messages and extend the conversation beyond the live experience
  • Extend event impact: Capture and repurpose event content for broader distribution beyond attendees

Why This Role is Different

  • Portfolio-first mindset: Your content directly impacts portfolio success—from recruiting to fundraising
  • Access and influence: Work directly with partners and founders to shape market narratives
  • Strategic, not just creative: Build systems and relationships that compound firm influence
  • Broad scope: From tweets to keynotes, website to LP updates—you'll touch every communication channel

Requirements

  • 4-7 years creating content in venture capital, tech media, or startups
  • Exceptional writing with portfolio demonstrating range
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects
  • Track record building media and industry relationships
  • Strong operational mindset—building processes, not just content
  • Intellectual curiosity with ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
  • Self-directed with high executive function
  • Low ego, collaborative approach

We'd be even more excited if you:

  • Have direct VC/PE experience
  • Bring existing media/conference network
  • Have produced events or conference programming
  • Can demonstrate measurable content impact
  • Use modern content tools and AI workflows (Claude, GPT-4, Cursor)
  • Have experience in our investment areas

Our values

We hire teammates whose integrity and demand for excellence match our culture and values:

  • Founders come first. We come second: Investors lose when they develop an ego or a sense of entitlement. Founders lose when they stop believing in themselves or their companies. Everything we do is in service of supporting the founders who are building iconic companies.
  • Be honest: With yourself and with others. Stay honest when it is hardest to be honest; that is when it matters most.
  • Have conviction: Work only with people we are willing to fight for and fight for them.
  • Demand excellence: Demand excellence from yourself, your colleagues, and founders. Work only with exceptional people and give them tremendous trust. Be unabashedly ambitious.
  • Think in decades. Act in seconds: As a venture firm we are investing for the very long term, but we move with the speed and urgency of the startups we partner with.
