Job summary
Keeping up to date with all international tax legislation and help the department modify its practices based on changes in tax law
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and promote a robust international tax strategy across the group, ensure all tax
- Obligations are met on a timely basis in the jurisdictions of the group’ business (limited to the U.S., Switzerland and Cyprus) to secure compliance with local tax laws and group tax strategy
- Identify current and potential opportunities and risks for these entities
- Develop tax efficient ownership, competitive cross-border financing and treasury solutions, profit
- Repatriation and loss utilization mechanisms, structure in-bound and out-bound investments,
- Devise efficient management structures
- Advise the group’s M&A, finance, legal and operations teams on a broad range of internationaltax issues (M&A, joint ventures, creation of new businesses, equipment purchases)
- Develop and monitor transfer pricing policies, prepare annual transfer pricing documentation forintercompany transactions
- Support the indirect tax function, which includes customs duties, VAT, sales & use taxes andother non-income-based taxes
- Assist the accounting function with tax reporting and forecasting for the international businesses
- Work closely with Big 4 advisers and law firms
- Perform technical research and prepare tax memorandum
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or progress towards CPA preferred
- Experienced understanding of U.S. and international tax principles required
- Solid understanding of U.S. domestic tax principles

Energy Procurement Specialist

Job summary
The Energy Procurement Specialist will manage and execute the procuring and expediting process for products, components, materials, and services for site teams in line with specified costs, quality and delivery targets, while comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers and organize and schedule procurement in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Energy Procurement (50%)
- Manage our third party consulting firm to procure electricity contracts from third party suppliers in deregulated markets in alignment with our energy procurement policy.
- Review the contracts for accuracy then oversee the execution.
- Maintain and/or develop databases to report on the contracts and financial performance compared to budgets.
- Create presentations and related communication to highlight summary program results to key stakeholders.
- Utility Bill Auditing and Analysis (40%)
- Conduct monthly audits of utility bills to ensure we are being billed accurately.
- Complete routine rate analyses to ensure we are on the correct rate schedules and tax exemptions are being applied.
- Research and resolve billing issues in a timely manner while following departmental protocol.
- Drive energy accounting by generating their intel and analyzing it.
- Other Databases & Trackers (10%)
- Compile monthly department metrics and present to the Head of Business Development
- Create and activate new entities and accounts when properties are purchased.
- Work with utility vendors to ensure accounts are put into Equity Residential’s name and assigned the correct rate when properties are purchased.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred (with a business, accounting, or finance focus) as well as 3+ years applicable experience in financial analysis and/or project management (property management accounting or energy and utilities experience a plus). Must be adept with spreadsheet programs and have the ability to quickly master additional data collection and management software.

Job summary
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the field execution of the construction work. This job family is responsible for organizing, directing, supervising and coordinating construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review construction portion of scope of work, specification, contract, bid evaluation, execution plan
- Review contract drawings and specifications (including RFPs) for constructability and conformance to existing field conditions.
- Provide technical guidance in the development of site mobilization and other construction management plans
- Participate in pre-award meetings, as appropriate.
- Attend post-award contract meetings, such as post-award kickoff meetings, preconstruction conferences, informal or formal partnering meetings, schedule acceptance meeting, design review meetings, weekly progress meetings, etc.
- Overseeing the construction schedules, methods, manning charts, material & equipment, and services requirements necessary.
- Perform and participate in remote 3D model design reviews as necessary with multiple design offices,
- Assist with construction quality assurance. Witnesses’ acceptance testing of the various systems and structures as required.
- Evaluation and notification of any significant event or technical deficiency associated with subcontractor performance.
- Responsible for field construction operations.

Education and experience

Responsibilities
- Electrical Designer with experience in mid and low voltage infrastructure
- Developing electrical one lines, protection and metering, transformer sizing, former field electrical engineer for 480V to 230 KV electrical equipment.
- Work with senior engineering staff to ensure designs are released and available in a timely matter to meet project schedule.
- Provide technical support to the supply chain team and foster an environment that encourages suggestions and product improvements from the supply chain.
- Learns and follows established work practices.
- Produce high quality drawings to company standards.
- Able to both create designs from scratch as well as derivative designs from existing products.

- AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent solid modeling tools experience. AutoCAD Inventor preferred.
